Why can I read this fairly easily while you might have difficulty reading or not be able to read this at all?

The key is context.  I have much more and a greater sense of context, so I can more easily fill in with appropriate expectations.

In fact, sometimes having too much context works against us.  “Smart” people, people with higher levels of education and reading comprehension, have more difficulty reading what lower proficiency readers wouldn’t miss.
